Apple Gazed Turkey:

Ingredients:

·    1-12 pound turkey
·    ½ cup apple jelly
·    ½ teaspoon cinnamon
·    ¼-½ teaspoon red pepper
·    ½ teaspoon salt

Directions:
  • Preheat the oven to 325 degree Fahrenheit. Remove the giblets and neck from the turkey and place them on a roasting pan.
  • Put the turkey on a rack and roast it until it is turned brown. Cover the turkey in a foil and continue to roast it until temperature in the thickest part of the thigh is 175 degree Fahrenheit.
  • Melt the apple jelly in a small bowl and mix cinnamon and peeper in it. Brush the turkey with apple glaze and boil it 4 inches away from the heating element for about 3 minutes, until it is turned brown.
  • Remove the turkey from the oven and allow it to rest for 30 minutes before carving.
