Get Your Kids Cooking

Many of our early memories center around the kitchen. Cooking, eating and laughing at the table are the stuff fond memories are made of. With more and more families having a hard time finding quality time together, one has to make the most of the time we do have.
Lets face it, everyone has to eat and most mothers admit that they aren't happy with all of the fast food and additives their kids are putting into their bodies. What better way to control what goes in then to see what it is made of? What better way to spend time with the family together than to cook those meals as one?
The problem is how to get your kids interested in cooking. One solution that most will agree on is to make cooking time, play time.
Many of us remember fondly the little toy ovens we had as a kid growing up. We didn't do much more than make cakes and cookies but oh the joy of eating something that you had made. Today's kids have so much more choices. Recipes for today's toy "microwave" ovens include a much larger selection of food to enjoy. From the traditional single layer cake to snacks and even main dishes, your kids can learn to make almost anything safely and easily.

Lasagna
Pour sauce over bottom of an Easy-Bake Oven pan and put aside.
Mix cheeses and egg in bowl.
Lay a lasagna noodle on flat surface. With a spatula, spread some of cheese mixture on one side of noodle. Leave room at ends and sides so cheese won't ooze out when you roll it up.
Roll noodle and place (edge down) in Easy-Bake Oven pan, pour spagetti sauce on top.
Bake in Easy-Bake Oven for about 15 minutes.
Repeat with remaining noodles.
